Director, Mission Programs
Carol Tortarelli is Director of Mission Programs for Prison Rehabilitative Industries and Diversified Enterprises, Inc., PRIDE. Programs include correctional industry and post-release activities designed to ensure a successful transition from prison to society. She administers the prison industry company’s vocational training programs for inmate workers and post-release transition services, to include job placement assistance. In her 18 years with PRIDE, she has held the positions of Job Developer, assisting former inmates in finding employment, and Worker OJT Programs Specialist, developing and monitoring inmate on the job training to include industrial job skills training and job readiness. She is a graduate of The University of Tampa with a BS in Management and earned a Master of Business Administration degree from St. Leo University. She has achieved professional certification from the American Correctional Association as a Certified Corrections Manager. Last year she attained certification as an Offender Workforce Development Specialist, OWDS, as a member of the first all correctional industries team selected for training by the National Institute of Corrections and is a certified Global Career Development Facilitator. Elected to a two year term on the National Correctional Industries’ Association, NCIA, Board of Directors, she is a member of the NCIA Re-Entry Task Force.
